(Transkribert av TurboScribe. Oppgrader til Ubegrenset for å fjerne denne meldingen.) Hey guys, hi folkens. For the first time I made a list because there are so many things I want to say and I don't want to forget anything and at the same time I want to keep this short, relatively short. I'm not good at keeping things short. Okay, let's go to the point. As you know, I created the Norwegian puzzle because I wanted to make Norwegian learning easier and I know many, many different students from many different backgrounds and many different reasons for learning Norwegian. I've discovered that there are, for many people, many pieces missing, even grammar points or vocabulary understanding that theoretically should be mastered at a certain level, but we all learn in different ways and we learn at different paces and so the traditional levels don't necessarily fit for everyone and also language levels aren't very precise. There aren't, of course, there are some grammar points that you need to master when you are at a certain level and some vocabulary you need to master as well, but then there are a lot of things that you can pass a test and be lucky and pass the level you're aiming for, but still not master very basic things because the European language level system is not necessarily, not only based on mastering certain grammar points and vocabulary and pronunciation, it's more focused on communication, being able to communicate what you want and you can do that even though you have pronunciation flaws or you don't master the grammar perfectly well as long as it's understandable and I think that is a good thing, but at the same time that can also make you continue making the same mistakes again and again because what you're saying is understandable but it's grammatically wrong or it's pronounced the wrong way or you're not using a word exactly the way it should be used but it's still understandable and that is why I created this podcast because I want you to be able to pick the pieces that you need or want or are curious about, things that you don't really get 100%. You master it more or less but you don't really get it so I want you to be able to pick the things that you didn't pick up before according to your needs and interests so you can create your own language journey, your own learning journey and I love making this podcast but at the same time it takes a lot of time and I wanted to spend the necessary time on this. I've been developing a new idea, a new concept, listening episodes with graded level so you can listen to those no matter what your level is. For every topic that I treat I make four episodes so it's one episode per level range so it's not a very precise level it's a level range so it goes from A0 which is completely beginner to B2 which is what do you call it advanced intermediate or something like that. The first episode is from A0 to A1, second one is from A1 to A2 and then A2 to B1 and B1 to B2. If you're not familiar with that level system just think that A0 is the lowest and B2 is the highest and you can just try one and then you see for yourself is it too high or is it too low or is it okay. It should be a little bit hard but not so hard that you lose your motivation and making those episodes take a lot of time of course. I make transcripts and vocabulary lists that are useful for learning. I do my best to make those episodes as nice and enjoyable to listen to as possible. I don't want to make episodes about politics unless it's a very specific topic that I am super excited about. I want to make episodes about everyday life, topics that interest me and I want this to be topics that are relevant for most people because we are all humans aren't we. I want the episodes not only to help you work on listening understanding which is important because well if you don't understand what people say how can you then answer back. So that's super important to train your brain to be able to pick up words, pick up sentences without having to spend too much time on it and that is why the tempo and then the amount of breaks in between the sentences and also the how long the sentences are and how complicated or not complicated but how advanced that's the word how advanced the vocabulary is. So basically how frequently used the words are. So yeah I don't only want you to be able to train your ear but I also want you to be able to pick up new vocabulary. So I want you to be able to work on the two and that is why I'm giving you also the transcript with it and the vocabulary list so that you can work on that if you want. Don't have to that's up to you. Maybe you want to put new vocabulary into a flashcards app. I talk more about all of this on my web page because my podcast now has a web page. Can you imagine? So there is like a start here page where you have tips on how to work on the podcast and what to start with and what to choose etc. So what is changing? I will still continue with the free episodes and they will still mostly be available. Some of them will become premium. I will do a little make over on some of the episodes. Go through them and edit them so that they become a little bit more what can I say polished and more straight to the point. And I will add transcripts and summaries and exercises with them in addition. But most of the free episodes will still be available for everyone. I will still continue publishing free episodes but not as often as I've had until now because I will spend more time on the premium. But I think it will be more or less one episode per month from now from October. No matter if you want to continue listening to the free version or want to try out the premium one. If you go through my web page which I will of course link below in the description of this episode. On my web page you will find all of the episodes organized by level and topics. And I have a very very open view on levels. Because I have noticed that some things that should have been mastered and early should have in brackets of course are very often not mastered still on a very advanced level. One example of that. Typical example. Two actually. The difference between vis and om. If in English. And the difference between at and som. That in English. They are very often still not mastered at B1 even B2 level. So I as I say if you choose a level you will probably get things that you might already have mastered for a while and learned quite early. But it's there because it's very very common that it's not mastered at that specific level. So that is why. And also if you know I just want to work on grammar or I just want to work on pronunciation. Then go directly to topics and then choose your topic. There's also a topic called På Norsk. Which will be all the episodes that are only in Norwegian. Not only listening exercises per se but also grammar episodes for instance that I make in Norwegian as well as in English. Let's talk a little bit about premium. With premium you'll get extra content. You will get graded listening episodes which you will not get with free. You can choose if you want to listen to these episodes with your favorite podcast app that you're already using by adding the private podcast feed to that app. When you choose premium you just click on a link and then you're good to go. So then you get all the episodes both the free and the premium ones in the same place. And there. Yeah. So you don't have to go between two different podcasts. And I suggest you do that when you want to listen when you're on the go. When you don't want to look at anything you just want to listen then do that. And if you feel like hmm maybe I want to have a closer look at this episode. I want to do some exercises. I want to read the transcript or the summary or whatever. Then you can go on the web page. Maybe another day. And there you will find everything. The learning resources the transcript vocabulary lists exercises everything that I have added to that. There's also a comment field below the episodes you can ask questions about this episode or you can go to a chat and talk to other learners ask other questions or maybe get your sentences corrected. If there's anything in particular you have questions about you can ask there or just connect with other learners. When you feel like sitting down and working like working focusing on the episode maybe writing some sentences taking notes then go to the page. That's the most ideal. What I hope that this podcast can do for you is that it can make Norwegian or learning Norwegian a natural part of your everyday life because well you can't just learn when you are in a Norwegian course and maybe you stopped doing that some while ago when you want to continue learning because there's always new things to learn in a language. You never stop learning. I hope that it can be an inspiration and that you can use it and just choose whatever you need or want the day you're listening to it and that little by little you will get a more like a better overview of the language you will understand it more the more puzzles as I like to call them these bits of information the more you master the more you learn the more you feel comfortable and also feel that you see the bigger picture basically. So if I tickled your curiosity feel free to visit the premium page or actually not the premium page visit the podcast page to explore more what you can find there. Have a good day. Keep listening. Vi høres!
